Mougins School

Prepare for tomorrow's world with an education worthy of today

Graduation Ceremony 2017

On Friday 30th June at 18h30 Mougins School celebrated its Graduation Ceremony, bidding farewell to thirty-five students who go on to higher education, mainly in England (for example: Imperial College, Kings, Leeds, Manchester), Canada and The International University of Monaco.

The Mayor of Mougins, Dr Richard Galy presented the Coupe de la Ville de Mougins to the student who has made the most progress in French and other special awards were offered by COVICO, La Musée de l’Art Classique de Mougins and Bluewater Yachting.

Two Médailles d’Honneur du Travail were also presented by the Mayor, one for twenty of years of service to the Accountant, Corinne Hajek, and one to Primary Teacher and Nurse, Marian Leonard, for thirty years of service. As usual the capping of the Graduates followed by some thanks and farewells were emotional moments, particularly as this year saw our Art teacher and Deputy Head, Jane Hart, leave after thirty-two years for an enjoyable and active retirement.

After a final rendition of ‘Songbird’ by students, guests were invited to partake of a cocktail and bid fond farewells to families and students leaving the School. We look forward to following the progress of our graduates.
