Concerts

Every year the School organises a Spring and Winter concert which showcase the musical talent to be found within the School.

Students of all ages participate both chorally and on a number of instruments, reflecting the popularity of music within the School. The students have produced three CD’s in the past, in the aid of charity, and a number of our pupils pursue their musical studies in higher education and in their careers.

Apart from the two major concerts, more intimate concerts are organised for AS and A-Level students when their work is often recorded.

MEMORIES is a short visual montage of the Concert held at Mougins School in April 2019 as a tribute to Brian Hickmore, member of staff for thirty years and Head of School for twenty-four of those, taking retirement in June 2019.

His love of music has permeated the very soul of the School and leaves an enduring imprint.

We wish him every happiness in all he undertakes in the years to come.

Drama

Drama plays an important part in the School curriculum and there are theatrical evenings presented by students, associated with their examination programmes, during the course of the year.

Mougins School is an Examination Centre for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and many of our students achieve high grades in the LAMDA musical examinations.

Sports Day

The School organises both a Primary and Secondary Sports Day. The Secondary Sports Day takes place at the local athletic stadium (weather permitting) and it is an important day in the School calendar.

Students are divided into four houses and there is a healthy sense of competition both on the day and throughout the year The Parent Teacher Association is very supportive of the School sporting events and provides refreshments when required.

The School participates, with outstanding success, in the Jeux de Sophia (Sophia Games) which is organised amongst three hundred enterprises based in the high technology park of Sophia Antipolis.

In 2011 and 2012 staff and students of Mougins School were the overall winners as well as gaining a number of medals in individual events.
