Despite the national strikes, a group of twelve students and two staff have been in Paris for five days and managed to visit fifteen galleries/places of interest, walking a total of 110,000 steps! Highlights included an amazing tour of the hotel/gallery concept, the ‘Drawing Lab’, the ‘Arbres’ exhibition at the Louvre and the ‘Atelier des Lumières’.
The plus side to the lack of transport was that, as one student put it, “Walking allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the Parisian artists’ lifestyle”. The variety of exhibitions the students visited, some quite unique, inspired our artists and has nourished them with new ideas for their own projects.
